Wendy Lewis-Houser
Director of Supervised Living
Wendy Lewis-Houser is a dedicated human services professional with more than 30 years of experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As Director of Supported Living at Gaston Residential Services, she leads programs that empower individuals to live meaningful, independent lives within their communities.
Wendy is deeply committed to person-centered care and advocacy. She works closely with individuals, families, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure services are compassionate, responsive, and tailored to each person’s unique goals and strengths. Her leadership focuses on building supportive environments, maintaining high standards of care, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
Throughout her career, Wendy has served in a variety of roles—including clinical services, human resources, and program leadership—giving her a well-rounded perspective on the needs of both the people served and the staff who support them. She is passionate about developing strong teams, fostering collaboration, and creating opportunities for growth and success across the organization.
Wendy holds a Bachelor of Social Work from UNC Charlotte and continues to invest in ongoing professional development in areas such as leadership, healthcare regulations, and workforce development. In addition to her professional role, Wendy remains actively engaged in the community. She serves on advisory boards, including the Gaston College Human Services Department, helping shape the future of the human services field and advocate for quality care and inclusion.
