Citizen Advocacy:

GRS encourages the participation of citizens in the lives of the individuals who receive services from GRS. Advocacy is developed by the volunteer’s participation with the individual in cultural or religious activities, personal shopping, or civic interests as well as by assisting an individual in accessing social and recreational activities available to the community at large. Volunteers and advocates are provided with an orientation to GRS’ philosophy of inclusion and fundamental emphasis on human rights as well as to the rules governing privileged information.
