Afternoon/Evening Program Instructor

Awake Program Instructor

Afternoon/Evening Program Instructor

Full and Part time positions are available. The primary function of a Program Instructor is to assure the positive teaching of the people served in a supportive and continuous manner. This teaching takes place in the home and community and is a vitally important part of the services provided.

The hours vary between the hours of 12 noon and midnight. Fulltime staff is scheduled to work 5 days a week 8 hours a day including some weekends. Part-time staff is scheduled to work 16 to 20 hours per week/weekend.

It is recommended that a Program Instructor have a bachelor’s degree, preferably in a Human Services field, and/or experience in the area of developmental disabilities. A person must have a high school diploma or the equivalent, to be considered for this position. The Program Instructor is required to have a valid driver’s license and a driving and criminal background check is conducted.

Awake Program Instructor

Full and Part time positions are available. The Awake Program Instructor is responsible for ensuring the safety and well being of the people served between the hours of 10p and 10a. The Awake staff is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of the house and performing deep cleaning of the common areas of the house. Some paperwork is required.

A person must have a high school diploma or the equivalent, to be considered for this position. The Awake Program Instructor is required to have a valid driver’s license and a driving and criminal background check is conducted.
